Mrs Gill’s meals have been specially developed and carefully made to suit those who have difficulty chewing and swallowing. Unlike other meals of this type, they are made with naturally derived ingredients.
We use real meat and vegetables, including real potato, real butter, sea salt and fresh whole milk. We do not use the long list of additives that you find in many meals and we even make our own low-salt vegetable stock.
As a result our food looks, smells and tastes appetising and wholesome.
We cover all of the four grades of texture modified food as outlined in the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI), and our product labelling currently displays both the old ‘national descriptors’ terminology (B, C, D & E), as well as the new IDDSI terminology. Our widest range is within the IDDSI 4 Pureed (formerly Category C), range where we supply a range of dishes in different sizes to cater for different patient appetites.
Click on one of the categories below for more information.
Almost all of our meals are gluten free. All allergens are clearly labelled.
The high quality of our ingredients and our cooking methods mean we can achieve high nutritional standards.
When we use salt, which we do sparingly, it is always sea salt. When we use potato it is always real potato, not reconstituted.
Natural aromas and tastes will encourage you to eat more and enjoy eating.
